Let's see your Leica M

Yes, the Amotal is rangefinder coupled. It was made by TTH for the American "Foton" camera, in 1948. Some of those lenses have recently been remounted for Leica and mirrorless cameras. The optical design is based on the Speed Panchro, also made by TTH, a famous cine lens. Yes, it is a 2" f/2 lens. Certainly very British indeed.

Erik.

Erik, being a cine lens, does the "T" engraving stand for T-stop? I see markings for f/2.2 and f/22, but I don't see a marking for f/2.

Finally I've found a Summilux 50mm f/1.4 v1 in black for my M2. Not new but the glass is perfect.

Erik.

I got my Dual Range Summicron back from a full going over, CLA and re-set of close up lenses (they were miles out because there was no spacing for the prism). So some celebratory images on my M3. This lens is exquisite, it looks and feels brand new (shows up my M3 a little too, but who cares). I hope to get it out this weekend.

That's a beauty Charles. I always liked the dual-range Summicron.

Impressive, but I once had a Collapsible LTM Summciron (13******* S/N), immaculate front lens), very sharp in center but the most flare prone lens I ever had. Sold it to Keep the 1.4/50 Canon RF lens of similar vintage.

After 7367 posts, does anyone not know what an M camera looks like?

Frank, I think you already know the answer to your question. It's a camera geek sub-forum by its nature. Show us a platinum print instead......

Not shown is 135mm Hektor, two Leicaflex SL's, and an R8.

I've not tried a collapsible, I wonder if there's a difference in glass or coatings, as after 2 rolls in sunny conditions I've had a couple of sunstars but absolutely no flaring. In that regard it's miles better than my 90mm Summicron that flares far too often.

I love my Collapsible-Summicron 2nd series, not or less radioactive..
I think HCB had two collapsible, one the Zeiss 50mm..
Always amazed at Erik's work.
