This is my german-russian combination for street photography. 
Most of the time, I don't have the time to adjust focus correctly, so I just leave it at hyperfocal distance. When I tried to make candid photography with my rangefinder cameras, I often was too slow to get the focus right and missed the moment very often. So with the M1, it's kind of liberating for me not have to think about focus too much and concentrate more on composition.
The additional rangefinder works quite well, although it's a little bit more cumbersome to use, it's good enough for subjects that don't require quick focusing. And the Jupiter-12 lens gives quite decent results too - if you use it stopped down a bit.

Ended up having to send this back. The mirror was oxidizing pretty badly.
