I have kept the Leicameter!
The M3 was swapped with an M4, because the old style lugs pinched my nose! The M4 was sold years ago, also the 50mm Summicron.
The 90 Elmarit was made redundant because of my new Voigtländer Heliar. The "new" M3 came about 3 weeks ago.
Best regards Wolfhard

That's kinda funny, a 30 year old gear shot, and somebody's probably got that same kit today and is taking that same gear shot.

Hello! When it has been adjusted it should be ok!
Usual current is 1.35, using 1.5 batteries without compensation might lead to false metering!
By the way, my "new" Summilux has arrived, exceptional condition!
Best regards Wolfhard

Thank you for the tip !! Unfortunately, my one has been adjusted to 1.5 V and the fitting Varta V625u (or LR9) is not available in Japan (except maybe for some BMW car dealer because this battery was used in a transmitter car-key)
Any suggestion, how to back-adjust to 1.35 V ? I found some info how to open the MR and where the two potentiometers are located but it is more a try and error approach ...
(Sorry for hijacking this thread ...

I love this image of your M2. Wonderfully set up with the pen and book.![]()
Thanks to SirAlien and others who have been so kind about this shot. I feel I should explain some of the context. It was taken in the cafe in the grounds of the Real Alcazar in Seville, earlier this year. I had stopped for a drink and a snack and found myself a table on the terrace, out of the direct sun. The shot itself is *almost* a found still life, in as much as I was writing my journal and checking my map for my next destination, while sitting there. The M2 was out on the table because I had been using it. All I did was a little "tidying up" (a cellophane sandwich wrapper and a crumby plate is hardly attractive after all) the photo was then taken with my G7, in jpeg mode. The only tweaking that has been applied is a little blurring to the words in the notebook - in the original they are clearly legible. I only took one shot, and this is it.
Thanks again.
Regards,
Bill

Here's mine, bought it two weeks ago used, as-is, from the web for 700 euro, and just picked it up from the post office.. It had a loose friction in the transport and a sticky brightline issue. That plus a complete CLA and a anti-viewfinder-flare mod was done within a few days! I send in it in on monday afternoon, and here it is on saturday! Will van Manen (NL) rules!

Travis L.,
Or anyone else, for that matter, where does one get one of those black leica dots? I've seen the instructions for repainting your own, but are the black ones available for sale somewhere?
Mine came from DAG.

That looks like a beautiful camera Jasper! Congrats! I'm sure Will tuned it perfectly!
BTW, was this one offered on Marktplaats? I had eyed one for a similar price some time ago.

I must admit i like no dot version, in fact, just moments after receiving back my camera, out came the black electrical tape.
And Huub, yes it is! Eventhough it cost me a cla for some defects, i still feel it's a good deal, and i'm really happy with it! (have been shooting dslrs for years, and always wanted a L since i used it once from a friend. In a week I'm taking it to NYC, leaving my 5d at home!)

Well after months and months of drooling over this thread I can finally add to it. I just sent the money this morning on this M6, it should be here Wednesday and I've been feverishly bidding on lenses on eBay......Leica GAS has a hold of me and I hope it never lets go!

lopzik, that's a pretty high filter to lens value ratio you got there with the B+W on the Jupiter! Love the M3, looks nice and clean. I don't think there's a better looking M than a clean chrome M3.

That silver "dot" is interesting ... what's the story?
