Im not a very web savvy person anymore so I dont know if this flickr linkydrinky thing works the way I hope it should. If it does then this is my M6 and ASPH LTM 35 'cron. I have since picked up an APSH 'lux and am looking for a Black body I can use for B+W as this machine's primarily for E6 chromes.. Hope you like, as I have certainly been inspired by some of the lovely work machines on this thread.

Your M6TTL looks for sure like a well used work-horse camera. Nicely brassed !

HuubL - I agree, minusthetom and retro's M2's are sweet!

Joe - thanks! I looked at serial numbers and this unit is #538 of the first production lot of 3,000 M4's (November 1966).

Mr Ye allowed me to do the CLA with him, and we spent almost 4 hours on it. He stripped it waaay down, and I took several macros during the process. Given the file upload limits it could take a few days, but will get a thread put together showing the CLA process.

That would be excellent and much appreciated. Could you post a link in this thread please there are way too many forums to follow all of them regularly and shoot as well :)

Excellent! According to a Cameraquest's data, mine is also from this batch, #1116. Nice to meet a litter-mate, so to speak.

Cheers,

Hopefully Kevin won't mind me posting these images of his old M2 that is now living with me! :D
When I have some photos of my own I will edit this post but I don't believe I will get any better of this beauty than these.

A first batch M4! Interesting. I wonder how it would compare to my last batch #104 before last Wetzlar chrome M4 :)

Well, I can certainly say that mine looks its age; ederek's is quite pretty and has me thinking of a comprehensive CLA for mine. It's quite the pleasure to use, though.

Cheers,

New addition to the family. Not up to fourteen yet though :)

Birthday is 7/22/1959 from an 850 batch so a big celebration for the 50th next year.
Any close serials out there ?

@ minusthetom and retro: beautiful M2s!!

HuubL - I agree, minusthetom and retro's M2's are sweet!

Thank you both.

I found that M2 as you see it in the pic (but much dirtier) at
a recent swap meet at a ridiculously low price. I asked a seller
who was in the process of setting up if he had any cameras for
sale. He said he had a "Likka" and proceeded to fish around
through boxes of old stuff looking for it. At first I thought he
said "Nicca" and I was eager to see the camera. When he finally
found it and handed it to me I saw what it was. :)
