Just came in the mail today! My first Leica (after around a year or so of Canonet and Electro 35 use, the gateway drugs..) I'm excited.

For a brief moment, I was in Leica heaven![]()
M7 is gone as a trade for the MP. Now, I think the M6 TTL is on the chopping block as I cannot justify keeping both the MP and the M6 (can someone convince me otherwise
[Keep as many Leica camera as you can and as long as you can...]

A M3 (1959) just joined my M family. She is a year older than me and gorgeous
Will be a great life time partner.
My first impression on the M3 - solid and 1st class craftmanship.
I wish my M6s has been made like the M3 (and the MP for that matter). The back door sits flat on the camera body and there is no movement at all. Per the seller, Popflash, the camera was CLAed by Sherry back in 2000 and it works great. The shutter sounds sightly louder than the M6s but no big deal.
The viewfinder is brilliant. I have not noticed any flare yet. LOVE IT! Oh, and I love its blue tint, too.
The shutter dial is kind of worn out and along with its smaller size, it is kind of hard to turn with one finger. I wonder if I could replace it with the one used on the MP....
Just loaded a film first time and it is not any more difficult than the M6.
I had never thought that I would like chrome Ms but I am loving my M3. It is a beauty!
I was thinking about changing its covering but I kind of like it. It is in perfect shape and has a better grip than the one on my M6s. ummmm...
Ok, time to get out and shoot with it.
cheers
