Gabor, have you ever had a problem mounting this lens on your M? I have an Industar-22 (Elmar copy) that I have tried to mount on my MP. Even when using a genuine Leica LTM to M adapter, the bottom of the infinity lock button will always catch on the release button/ring on the MP. It won't allow me to completely lock the lens down.

It is a wonder, but the curtains are ok. Can´t see any holes against light.

I don't think that such an adapter exists, i.e. one that will allow you to focus @ infinity with a lens that has a lock. I may be wrong of course, but I believe that you may have to have the lock either removed or modified. Well, I think so anyway. I had the same problem using an LTM Summaron that I had on loan.

... likes film again.
The 35mm Summaron 1:3.5 LTM mount works great ! I use it with an original Leica 21-35 LTM-M-mount adapter and have no problem at all with the infinity lock.
It is not to contrasty and ideal for BW, at night it works best with Neopan Superpresto 1600PR. I have to try some Kodachrome with this lens. though ...
Cheers,
Gabor
EDIT: For the Summaron LTM it is important to first mount the adapter to the lens and then mount the lens+adapter to the camera, same for unmounting. When trying to unscrew just the lens, the infinity lock will collide with the frame-line preview lever !

Yes, that's what I did. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks, just got this baby a few days ago, my first rangefinder. The lens was included in the purchase but yeah chrome on chrome would be cool too

Maybe you can sell curtains as NOS then?
And have the rest upgraded to M8.2?
Terrific find!

Handsome M3 you have there, bennyng. What is the shutter button extension thing? I'm recovering my M3 and an original 50/2.8 Elmar is on it's way from an ebay victory!

It looks rather cool that way! How hard was it to remove the old covering? I am 'finally' getting a M3 and will change the covering in the not too distant future. I would go with some funky color as well
cheers
