That little Summaron makes quite the rounds these days!
Is it a new fashion lens ;-) We might be careful, as we will push the used prices of this little jewel.
It indeed makes the M5 look even bigger ;-)

I always check this thread before going to bed.
It gives me something beautiful to think about as I fall asleep.
(I'm single... Sad I know lol)

I used Krylon Wrinkle Black, available at most auto parts stores.

I just had my M3 CLAd and recovered (using Cameraleather's Cobalt Blue) by Sherry. Feels like a new camera -- new curtains, replaced the rewind knob and the eyepiece... can't wait to shoot with it --

cool, brave, bold and loud. I especially like the little patch of leather on the 90, too. not sure I could carry something that flashy myself, but it looks great. enjoy.

It looks amazing Jim , I can't believe that is my old m3.
Very cool.

The vulcanite on the 90mm was almost completely gone when I got it -- I was happy to find out that Morgan at cameraleather had a template available for the lens. As for the choice, I'm prone to wearing pastels and carrying loud Crumpler bags... it'll work with me.

Scott -- Glad you like it -- I'm not giving it back, though!

How come your M3 has no frameline selector?

What kind of covering is that on the M3?--kinda looks like 'black beauty' from cameraleather. Looks fantastic--I ask because my m2 is about to need a new suit.

Chrome M8 + black Biogon 2/35
Chrome M8 + black Biogon 2/35
I want to participate, too!
Strap shown is the original strap that came with the camera. The Biogon is a wonderful lens, but too slow for me as I often shoot in dimly lit surroundings. Probably going to get the 35/1.2 Nokton, and either a 35/2.5 Skopar or a small 28 as a walkaround lens.

oh hai!
It is, I love it :]. Renzsu has been tempting me to buy the Voigtlander 35/1.2 since our NY trip...but the size keeps throwing me off lol. I need to stop being cheap and just buy the filter :bang:.Very nice setup. I have an M8 and the summicron 40/2 which is similar, nice and compact setup but no infrared cut filter alas.
Haha too much gear pron to not throw mine in.Hahahah, couldn't resist posting here after all huh!![]()

I really don't know, but it's darn near perfect. Got it (both, actually) from KEH and the add said nothing about a recover on it, but it's quite clear from looking at it that it's a recover (in a good way). I lucked out with this being so clean.
"How come your M3 has no frameline selector?"
From what I read, late 1955 is when they started adding the Frameline Selectors. I specifically looked for one with out that lever just for the aesthetics of it.
Sorry for the Xtra Huge'O pictures. I only made them 1000 pixels across and really didn't think they would come out that big, but I did save them for Web use so there should be no extra data in it, so it should still be a small file.
