Which ever comes up for a better price is what I'll most likely choose. Being poor price is a little bit of a deal breaker.I prefer the TTL. The dial is easier to turn, the meter arrows point the way you should turn the dial (longtime Leica users call it the wrong way, but most would call it the correct way, or at least the most ergonomic), and the meter is more sensitive.
I also find my M6 sounds a bit smoother, though that could just be that my classic needs a good CLA.
Can't go wrong with either though.
Just can't wait till i find something and sell all my nikon stuff to get it. haha

If price is important and you could live entirely without an internal meter, a nice M2 (much loved here at RFF) could be your ticket as well - not wanting to add to the confusion ;-)
The M6 is generally about 10-20% lower in price than a M6TTL in similar condition.
The M6TTL is generally about 10-20% lower priced than an early M7 in user condition (black chrome already slightly dull from heavy use + one or the other dings).
Upgraded M6 (MP finder) are rare. Your best luck would be, to contact Sherry Krauter or Don Goldberg, if they might have one around, they sell (don't know, if Don sells cameras).
Both likely do the MP upgrade by themselves and are reputed independent Leica M experts.
A MP finder upgrade to an M6 would run about 250 USD (last, I have heard about it), so you have some points, to start with regarding pricing.

I wish I was confident enough to not have an internal meter. Price is an issue but so is having an internal meter. I have a lot more research and saving (plus selling a few things) to do before I get myself an M anything.
While an M6 or TTL with an MP finder would be nice, you may find it not necessary. The M6 finder may flare out in some circumstances, but if you don't experience it, or can live with adjusting your eye position slightly, it isn't an issue. I would not let the finder be a reason to not get an M6 or TTL if that is your only concern. If you find it does flare on you, have the finder changed when the camera needs a CLA.

M3 needed a CLA so sent it off to Youxin Ye and while there I had the original chrome top installed. Not sure what I'll do with the black painted pieces. This is the original way I used me M3 when I first got it. Nikkor 50/2 LTM mounted.

Covering fits well but there is lumps on the top, not the bottom (inside) of the covering. You know what I mean? And even it wasn't tight, I got some gaffers tape to fix that.Very nice, but what about the covering? it doesn't seem to fit tight (at the left side)......would send it back if I paid for that job
