Love this thread. I was so proud to FINALLY be able to post my humble M8 here. Love the Leica porn.1,047,431
That's the current view count for this thread ... just mind boggling!

Looks nice, not as big as it looked in LFI.
Gonna stick with 21 f4 SA for a bit longer though.

I like M2's - obviously. These are some of mine, nicely stacked. One was on loan to a friend and one was in for service at the time. My excuse (and I am sticking to it) is that I need them to test M2 Rapidwinders.
The truth is that I could possibly, though reluctantly, live with maybe three of them and the 21/35/50 lens set-up. These have accumulated since the early 60's and I loathe getting rid of any of them.

Poor Tom. How can you live without the two that are absent here? Such sacrifice. My deepest sympathies.
Honestly, though, if you only could keep one body and one lens, you'd still be okay, but since you don't need to that, why even consider it?
If you need someone to help reduce the awesome responsibility of testing M2 Rapidwinders, I'll gladly volunteer to take a tiny share of the burden!
My biggest question is how you decide which body to load with which film?

Need to add one more Tom![]()
Dont worry, there are two more - one in for service and one in the hands of a friend at the moment of the shot - so 15 all in all. Some addictions are better than others - M2's is one of more benign!

Why don't you start a loaner library to worthy young talented digital photographers and force them to use a Leica for a month, shoot a brick of film?

That's why he keeps them in stacks.

The best camera is one that still works!
No matter how long I stare at this photo and tell myself that this many M2's is unhealthy and not natural ... envy eventually creeps in!

If I was in your situation Tom I'd probably fill my bathtub with m2's and bathe in them every night.
So much better than real bathing.
