Are you sure you want to sell that beautiful M3?
I would wager you'll miss her if you do![]()
Yes, I'm sure I'll miss the M3, but if I kept it, it'd be a shelf queen as I'll use the framelines in the M4-P to a greater extent. The M3 needs to be in the hands of someone who'll use it. I'm 99% digital; I shoot film for enjoyment and I really don't need two film bodies lying about. Yes, I'll miss the silky-smooth operation of the M3, but the M4-P is more practical for my needs.

Got some film yesterday. Can't wait to load this.

That film is fantastic - I've pushed it to 1000ASA and pulled to 20ASA, all with good results. If I may ask: How long ago did you order it? I'm getting down to my last 100 feet...
Oh, and the camera is pretty cool

I bought it from That's A Wrap in the UK and delivery was a quick two days (though they do charge a pretty whopping £30 for shipping).
Kodak Europe also sells it and according to my calculations their price is virtually identical to TAW's when shipping and VAT is added - roughly 250€ for a 400' roll.
Blind_spark, how did you develop when you shot at 1000 and 20?

Nice to see that I'm not the only person with a microscope camera!
Turns out that my slow speeds are shot (will have to look at which speeds go on which escapement) but as I'm not much of a low light guy I will probably get around to getting them sorted one day (famous last words!).

Here's fifty-two years of Leica. Here's my current stable, but the M3 will be on its way to a new owner later today. The M3 was built in 1959. This M4-P had a production date of April 1983. The M8 is a late 2008 production anti-panda black paint model, and the M9P is a late production 2011 body.
And I apologize for the quality of this image. I had to shoot this with a Canon G5. It's the only other camera I own.
