Wow! That's amazing. I would really like to see a bit about that conversion/project. That's truely some fine piece of engineering.
EDIT: Ah, I've found this in your flickr stream: https://github.com/varjagg/digital-modul-m
Will have a look at it as soon as possible.
Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome Kent, should really do a separate post on the build someday. I hope my notes there would be useful to those who think about similar project. There's a bunch of build pictures in images/assy directory, although by no means they are a complete build log.

Just got my 50mm f/1.1 Nokton in the mail from Stephen Gandy. Thought I'd share a photo of my entire stash. One black chrome M4, 3 black paint M4's (one modified by Sherry for the Leicavit MP). Each has a stroy, each has a name, when I have some more time, if anyone is interested I'll tell the stories and some more photos.
That is my dream of a complete system : a body for each lens, pick the one you need. Perfect. Garrrgle.

I like the consistency of all of your Leicas having a similar Nikon strap.

Thanks man, that's the kind of strap I have on all my cameras - they're kinda loud. I think Nikon makes this same strap in an all-black version, but they're hard to find.

I use the same Nikon AN-4B straps on all of mine, these are the three I could easily grab. Mine have been cut and sewn to length. I've got a few of the yellow ones as well, even a few with a blue stripe.
I'm pretty sure they're all out of production now.

Gotta get some of those...
I knew I'd seen the. Somewhere, think I'll have to start looking for some. I also like your idea of seeing them in place.
Seeing your M6 with that 50 makes me miss my last M6. I had the same lens mounted on it. Cool rig. Is that the 21 f/4? That was my very first Leica lens, got it back in high school. My Dad bought it for me, it cost him $400 (that was 1987)!

I still see these Nikon straps for sale in the big local stores such as Yodobashi Camera and BIC Camera, and they're still listed on Nikon's Japanese website (link), so I think they're actually still in production (though possibly not offered by Nikon outside Japan)
