Yes indeed, although it's far from mint, having seen a lot of service with it's previous owner, British Photojournalist Dafydd Jones.

Yes I too William find it a tad difficult switching back and forth between film & digital
I am trying to create a workflow but have not nailed it yet
The color palatte of the ccd / ME / M9 sensor is Lovely
Still prefer B&W in film but i'm sure with practice i might be able to create a pleasing bw file
Just haven't found that magic yet...
For me, Film rules in the rendering and dispersal of Light ... Digi rules in hi iso low light capabilities and instant gratification
ENJOY the M-E, its a Wonderful cam !

After shooting digital almost exclusively for work since 2003, I am now finding digital files are starting to leave me wanting something. Then I look at some of my old film shots and realize that I, too, like the rendering of film. It just seems more "real" than what I am producing with digital. Now that I am retired from shooting professionally, I have been truly considering going totally analog for the exact reason you mention here.

Nice! The finish on the camera looks a bit more dull than the lens. I'd love to see a super black modification that has a dark shutter release and frame counter!

I like the four screws in the covering on the front. I've never understood why they were covered on the earlier models.
I am still hoping for a version in dull black paint.

I bought one of these custom rewind cranks around 1973. I am thinking, but not totally sure, that Bob Schwalberg had them made and sold them. He also made the best strap ever, the first strap with a quick release, the Strapateer. I have one left of the three or so that I originally had, bought around 1967, and have made copies for all of my cameras.
Here's the crank on David Douglas Duncan's M3D: http://petapixel.com/assets/uploads/2012/11/mostexpensive-5.jpg
Thank you for the information. I got this one in a jumbled box of misc Leica RF and Canon SLR gear. Fits nicely.

Picked this up about 2 months ago and I'm really enjoying it. Love how compact it is with the 35mm. Really has me excited to start shooting again since I got tired of lugging an SLR around.
Have a 50mm Planar arriving today.
