It has been! And been all over the place on various adventures.

And touch wood, so far well behaved. Not sure how to check my click count. It's a quirky, wonderful camera. Not sure if it's worth thinking about trying to upgrade to the 240.

That looks well used ! :)

Interesting, I guess the chrome on the new Leicas is thin? Took me 7 years of daily use with M4, and only now some spots are thinned down to brass..

I know the black paint on the new Leicas is "weaker", but there hasn't been much discussion about chrome.

What discussion about chrome? All I see is wear on a well-used gray painted M9 ;)

Well travelled now.

Having sold you a nasty sandpapered M6 and having a general dislike of scuffed M bodies, probably as a result of that experience, I'm surprised to find myself quite liking the look of your M9 James. My black M9 traveled far and wide but seemed extremely resistant to scuffing/brassing which made it look a little odd as the Thumbs Up grip was almost completely down to the brass by the time I sold it.

Great pictures from your White Whale project too James. A very talented chap indeed!

Thank you so much sir! Much appreciated, especially from you.

Hope all is well?

I don't know why this m9 has scuffed so much, perhaps the bag I use?

And your m6 was also on the canal and took some of those White Whale shots. Lovely camera and has done sterling service (I did a project in Nicosia all on film which it led the way for), although sadly it may need to be sold soon to cover some Nikon (boo hiss I know) DSLR gear that I needed for another project....

It's been your M6 for quite some time now...and I'm glad to put some distance between myself and its sad history of abuse.:D I hope you're not relying on the funds from its sale to cover the DSLR cost entirely;) Those "boo-hiss" Nikons may not be as much fun, as light or as quiet but they are generally worth every penny and I simply couldn't make a living without mine.

Oh, I've been meaning to ask. If you still see your friend who played the name game you were telling me about that led to Tennessee Jones, please let her know that there's a fellow photographer somewhere out there that thought Gone Girl was the best film he's seen in some years, amazing (and disturbing) performance.

I will indeed pass it on!

And they're damn useful aren't they, these boo-hiss Nikons. Been using a D610 for the last few weeks for some stills and video. Amazing thing. And bought second hand amazing value.
