The strap and rings were from a Nikon F that was sold
The inspiration was a lesson learned about the regret that comes from selling a Leica.

The guilt we hold for such things.
 
The Millennium, M2, five lenses, a Visoflex III, bellows, adapters plus all the assorted flotsam of Leica bits accumulated over the years help pay for a much needed new deck. New year and as much as I love the Nikons but they’re gone. If I’m going to try and have one camera, it might as well be a good one.
 
Very nice, Erik, what a lovely set! Several years back I was in a local shop when a young man brought in his grandfathers’ M3. It was from a early run from ‘54 or early ‘55 with the box, warranty card, original price tag and a 2” Taylor-Hobson 2.0. Unfortunately, the camera and lens had been kept in the leather case for decades. Fungal threads were everywhere in the lens and viewfinder. The staff told him to put it on a shelf as a memento. Nice to see your lens is in a very useable condition.
