Somewhere in the last nearly 400 pages of this thread I may have posted this one. It was taken on film with my Zuiko 50 3.5 macro. It shows the classical timeless lines of the M2 with an ahistorical 1990s 35 Summicron. Thought some would like to see it.

Button rewind and no self-timer is an especially lovely M2 version, IMO. Contrary to conventional wisdom, some cameras are not just tools.

Harry stamped my son’s names on both ends of the strap. A little personalization to make me think of my lads when I’m out there making pictures.

You are very fortunate to have acquired a 0.58 MP, and in black paint. I was offered a new silver 0.58 MP at a discount around 20 years ago, and I jumped at it. Very glad I did. It’s my favourite film M for 28 and 35mm lenses.

You are very fortunate to have acquired a 0.58 MP, and in black paint. I was offered a new silver 0.58 MP at a discount around 20 years ago, and I jumped at it.

I also have the M7 with 0,58. Indeed it is excelent for the 28mm Elmarit which I have. Even with a 21mm Elmarit it is not hopeless however I have the C.V. zoom V.F. And a C.V. SWH F/4,5-15mm with M-bayonet. Apart from the Leica Summicron 50mm and Summarit 75mm which the last was on above photo. 90mm would be tricky with a 0,58 version.
