Linhof Super Technika leather

i have an old Technika V that needs a new bellows and leather. Does anyone here know of someone that does this? Thanks in advance.....

I have a Technika V and Linhof in the UK did a good job of replacing some of the leather for a reasonable price.

Here is a source for camera bellows - they make bellows to fit just about anything and are usually very helpful. Though again, it is in the UK.

In the U.S., Marflex can do both and generally service the camera and cam lenses, if that's of interest. You can find the contact information on the HP Marketing website.

If you want to replace the bellows yourself, Camera Bellows UK can send you one fairly quickly.

I'm a new member and have a Technika V on it's way form an Ebay purchase. Any suggestions for books to bring sharpen my knowledge of using this particular camera? I've use a Speed Graphic since I was 13.

Congrats. It's a fine camera.

You could contact Linhof to obtain a Master Tech manual, and everything would be the same except for the flap on the top of the Master Tech body for front rise with certain wide lenses and the position of the controls on the back. Master Techs also usually have sliding latches to release the back after loosening the four knobs, while on the Tech V you have to press the latches in to release the back. Everything else is the same.

Read through the Technika threads on the Q&A forum at lfphoto.info, and you'll pick up most of what you need to know.

One thing first, so you don't damage the front rise mechanism--front rise is controlled by the racheting lever on the right side of the front standard when you're looking at it from the front. The tip of the lever pulls out, and orienting it one way allows you to ratchet the standard up, and orienting it the opposite way allows you to ratchet it down. Don't ratchet it down once it's reached the bottom, or you'll break the teeth on the bottom of the gear track, which is not an unusual problem on old Technikas.
