Topcor50mmf1.5 (Half Sonnar so Two make a FULL Sonnar-qualify in the list?? 😛😀)-They really look like the Canon so black & original filters to differentiate!

Your Topcors stops down to f/16. Do you have one with f/12.5? Are they all Simlars or strictly Topcors?

Topcor50mmf1.5 is an improvement over the Simlar50mmf1.5. Tried the Simlar but it's much softer. Designwise, the same, ie front:Sonnar & rear:Gauss.

According to Topcon Club:"This lens was most expensive in during the standard lens of Leotax F. As for the constitution, the first group is a Sonnar type and the later group is a Gauss type. This is the lens (Topcor) that improved f1.5 5 cm Simlar, and it was offered for sale in '55."

I like my Topcor cos they have the signature & drawing of Canon's sonnar. Of the 4 Sonnar & Sonnar-clone 50mmf1.5 that I have, the Topcor's & Canon's signature are the closest – almost identical. I think they are a copy of each other since both exterior & signature are so close. 🙂

Jupiter-11 135/f4 is no Sonnar design (no triple group):

It's a copy of the prewar Zeiss 135/4, which was called "Sonnar", but which isn't a Sonnar-type design either. It just ran under the same brandname, much like today's Vario-Sonnars in digital compacts.
