I had a lovely small camera waiting at work today: an Olympus XA I bought from Ampguy. Very nice, indeed. But when I got home all the film I own is already in my cameras
:bang: I almost went out to one of the local "convenience" stores but decided to wait 'til tomorrow and not pay 7 or 8 $US for a roll of short dated 200 speed crap film.
One thing I will need to watch out for with this one: the shutter release is much softer than any of my other cameras. I can see some unintentional grab shots in my future.
The XA will be replacing my Agat 18 as my tiny "don't want to carry much of anything today" camera. And give much better results, too. Well, except for the constant operator ineptness.
I'm a happy man.

The postman made my day this morning!
He delivered this gorgeous Leicatime case and deluxe strap that I bought from Kyle a few weeks back. I have read so much about these Luigi cases. And wow, the hype is not at all exaggerated. This case is a real work of art. I love its look and feel. Luigi, you are a true craftsman!

Agreed! With the luigi strap on that case, it truly is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
The most important thing though, is that it improves your grip! Steady hands.. steady hands.

I agree. The case definitely improves my grip on the camera. I just went out for an hour or so of shooting. The case gives the camera such a wonderful feel. I just love it!!!

I'm waiting on my $40 purchase of the Agfa folder and my 11 rolls of 120 film. Testing that thing out is going to be fun...but I still have no clue where I'm going to get it scanned.

am I seeing wrong, or is this a black M4 ? Original ? If not where did you get it painted ?
Beautiful with the case ....
Roland.
Hi Roland,
No, you are not seeing wrong. It is an original black paint M4. My father bought it in the early 70's and he has passed it down to me. Thanks for the compliment.

Woohoo, got my CV 50mm/1.5 Nokton through the mail today. The fastest lens I ever owned (...and probably will own...)
Unfortunally, rear lens cap was not included. Are these sold seperately (Just in case the seller of the lens doesn't have it any more)?

I got my two Rollei replacement screens in the post, thanks to DReilly and ScotForthLad. They're fitted and ready to go - I can actually focus in a dim-lit room!!
i think I'm still waiting for the lil camera sent for free by a member here a few months back - i doubt it will ever arrive, but it was a generous offer/gift, so i'm only upset that someone dishonest has nabbed it.

Just received an eighth RF lens - my first that breaches the 35mm FL. Only took two years! Here is the 3-element Leitz Elmar 90:
Love that shiny chrome.
Besides the slow speed, this jewel enjoys a diminutive size because of its single-helical design (aperture assembly rotates with focussing). It is equal in this aspect to the collapsible 50's. A desirable feature for me is the long throw: notice the broad DOF scale, especially for a long lens.

Love that shiny chrome.

I just got the R2 off ebay, and I got the nice case from Luigi 3day shipping....after 3 days of enails
Luigi is big on selling a case WITH a strap, well yeah it's more money
, on the other hand I am glad I went ahead with it, it looks better and it IS nice and soft.
looks great, protects the body and well worth the price

Congrats, John! I saw your text first, before the pic scrolled fully into view, and assumed your new joy was a Contax IIIa. Well, your Leica looks nice anyway! Enjoy...
Not relevant in this forum, but yesterday's package contained a Pentax K2 with Kiron 2/28mm and a Pentax SV with 1.4/50mm SMCT back from CLA service with Eric Hendrickson. They were unworkable but cheap eBay mistakes, so (now humbled) looking forward to a bit of use.
