His store on eBay UK is here - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/stores-sibir-sergeySo .... where do we find Sergey if we wanted to do business?
I've bought from him several times, and he's a good guy.

Fed 5's are even uglier, but the wide RF base + film advance lever make it very useful.
Either one is heavy enough be handy for self-defence![]()
Hey, if confronted by unwanted attention, you could throw the FED5 at em!
Then, if you get away, you will have shaken off the problem AND the ugly RF. Maybe you should take the lens off first?
(only joking, I wouldn't take mine outside!)
come to think of it, my red FED5 came from Sergey. I've had a few from him, all nice.

I totally agree!dee said:Sergey simply sells honest, used, checked, fair cameras at a fair price
Also wanted to update, I recieved my finder and lenses from Fedka. The Universal Finder is Great!! Also I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to get a "half case" for my FED, with out chopping up the Never ready case. But I could not find one made for the Fed. However, I am happy to say that I discovered a used Olympus SLR case bottom that I already owned fit pretty well! I put a picture up in the Camera and Coffee thread! Anyway, I love my new kit, now if only it were to get a little warmer so I could take her out for a run! (I am from Texas, not to fond of cold!)

One of my Fed cases was hanging off , so I cut through the leather lugs underneath.
This was a sort of trial , but I would love to get the big rivets out without tearing the case .
Can't say that I am usually deelighted by broken toys !
But have a 1/2 case be deefault for my Leica IIIc - no way will I fix it !

hey, they're only Zorkis
I used a Dremel tool on a couple of my Zorki cases to grind off one end of the rivets. No problem and didn't hurt the leather. Should I want to put it back together, I'll have someone install a couple of snaps where the rivets used to be....I would love to get the big rivets out without tearing the case .

Nancy will have a nail file to hand - less risk than a Dremel, but a good local leather worker should be able to upgrade a NRC to two parts, some will be quite cheap.

The thought of a Fed 5 feeding on me and growing worries me silly ...

Just embrace it, eventually you'd become a human-rangefinder hybrid... then you can decide whether to use that power for good or for evil.

Think I will stick at '' Zorki / Leica '' and '' Fed / Leica '' hybrids thanks - I love the new finishes , and the rubbish ones Oleg gets to put right !
