My new M3! Serial no. >1000000, just CLA'd, with M-mount collapsible 50mm Summicron +filter +cap, for $1300Cdn, from the local spring camera show/sale today.

Looks like Brian's signal calling from the Dark Side is getting stronger and stronger. Watch out Oscar, you will be the next victim!

Congratulation Frank! That's a bargain price you were paying for the M3 kit (compared to Australian prices).

Eventually a 90mm lens (or 85mmf2 by Canon or Nikon), but right now my wad is shot.

This camera is in very nice shape, and since I plan on using it rather than setting it in a cabinet, I don't mind that a bit of vulcanite is missing on a bottom corner or that the strap lugs are worn. The top is very clean and free of meter marks.

It was a fun day. I met Bill K again. He's about to put in an order for a Bessa R + 35mm lens. Maybe you should talk to him, Joe.

Congrats, Frank - looks like a very nice kit - and for a very good price!

Frank, it's a beauty! Nice shot of the vendor's table too. Was this where you found the M3?

Gene

Congrats Frank !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You all, Brian, Frank, Kris, Thmk (?) and others with your M3 are making things really difficult for me :)

But I love the P with the 50 Canon :D

Now, if I could get a M3 and pay it month by month...

I did not take a picture of the table I bought my M3 from. I did take some digital pictures of random views of the event. Here are some more. Digital is the ultimate snap-shot medium in my opinion because "no film was harmed in the making of these images."

steady oscar, the dark side is strong today!

leicas are very nice, especially the m2 & m3 but...

SO IS the canon p.

Again, congratulations.

May i suggest that you look into a belt pouch for your new jewel. Tenba makes a nice one that fits a M3 quite nicely. Put the M3 in the pouch and take it with you everywhere,

Gosh!

Why don't we get camera shows like that here in New Zealand...

On the flipside... I did luck out with my M2 with CLA. Not wanting to brag, but it was sub $500US.

Stu :)

Good on ya, Stu!
Graybeard, I'll have to check out those pouches, thanks.

Here's a photo of a nice set!

Frank, congratulations. I think that it was predetermined to happen. Looking back, probably a good thing now that you got sniped earlier in the week. You are a better man than I, in that you took it so well.
"Such a deal" you got on your purchase.
I also wished I could find shows like yours in my area.
Continued good fortune with the new purchase.

Mike
