I would kill for the priviledge to have fish & chips - wrapped in newspaper, 3 times a day, 7 days a week..

Not to mention the cool red buses, and all the hot babes with cool accents. Lets Go!

Ooops. I'll Google for images of Seagal instead. Thank you.

Jon, what happened to your old avatar... Sean Connery wearing a straw hat, if I recall correctly. 😀

The ultimate test: a roast. Put it in the "completely different" forum. Don't use profanity or talk about my family. 🙂

Wow! What was it used for and how much scrap* value is in something like that?

* Gold pins etc.

A lot of it went to the Smithsonian. Most of the Bipolar Chips used (about 140,000) had gold caps. It was a lot of gold. The CPU time was $970 per hour. I re-wrote programs to execute faster, and saved way more than I cost in salary.

The Programming Manual that I have from the 1946 IBM Mark I would buy me a new Nikon SP-2005. I still need to get it to the Smithsonian. It was being tossed from the Library in 1979. I saw a speech by Grace Hopper in school, and brought it along to be autographed. She was surprised, and told me she personally wrote it.

Joe,
Are you perhaps talking about the _TV_ show "The Office?" On NBC? That is indeed based on the UK show, but the _movie_ Office Space is, AFAIK, "unique."
