The technical issues can be resolved. The human ones are more difficult.
Hopefully, the coming of the new RFF book will help redirect us all back to what this forum is all about.

flashover said:thanks for all the responses to my rant. I was just venting my frustration with the performance and I know George is working on it. Oh and don't hold any bad feelings toward the seller as he did what he thought was fair and the problems I am having are not his. Hope the new owner can get it up and running. Its realy a nice camera. John

flashover said:Take this with a grain of salt as I am a upset with the performance of the site. I went after a camera body posted for sale. The end result was someone else is the happy new owner. Two posts were made for the item and both appeared at the same time. I just have an issue when it takes over 4 mins to get a post on and the 3 or 4 trys to get a PM out. ~~snip~~
flashover said:Hi I Noticed you recived the camera and Like I said my complaint was with the site not the seller or buyer. I didn't even notice the double post till after and the looked at the post times. They were the same for both of us. I thinkl this body was the one Frank S had and throught him I had for a couple of days untill the shutter curtain issue was discovered. I have since replaced it with a Leica IIIc , but realy did like that body. Oh the RF window bezzel from a Fed 2 is a perfect fit for the round window. John K

Jon Claremont said:No he is not. He's a nice guy and is building a great community but seems to have to move servers frequently and the site needs tidying up.
Even if speed increases after the the next server move we'll be back here within six weeks needing a new server.
And there are site-wide errors which I told Jorge about several months ago.
I run sites myself and if somebody told me of a spelling error on a landing page I'd correct it same day. Jorge hasn't done that in about six months since I pointed it out, and that makes him seem like somebody who is not on top of his site.
As well as the spelling Jorge needs to sort out the speed issues, make the navigation consistent and rationalize the forums.
Thank you Jorge for setting up this site, I like what you write also, but it's time to get the professionals in to take it to the next level.
