You used to see used R2s selling on eBay for about that sum. So if you have an opportunity to buy in the States, and if you don't mind inconvenient warranty terms, you can get a new camera for the price of a used one two years ago.

It seems like being stuck in the E.U. is not the best thing. Even though the low dollar is a plus, if you order anything from outside the E.U. the customs will charge you import duty and VAT, which together is about 25% :bang: :bang:
