We all know leica made LTM lenses, and of course so did the former soviet union. What I want to know is who else made LTM lenses, where can they be found, and is there a definitive list out there?
Joe,
Real experts will answer better than I but here are three pages that should get you started
http://members.aol.com/dcolucci/lsm.htm
This is a page titled "Non-Leica Screw Mount Lens Price and Info Guide" put up by, I beleive, an RFFer.
And here: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/iannorris/index.htm
A site about Leica cpoies--cameras more than lenses but the companies that made the cameras likely made lenses as well. Though I would bet that more companies made LTM lenses than made Leica copies.
And lastly: http://www.kevincameras.com/
Look at the section "Non Leica SM lens"--25 pages of other LTM lenses. Mostly too pricey for me but lots of pretty pictures!
Happy to help some one else'sGAS!😀

For instance, there was a 5cm Sun Sola auctioned a few months ago by someone in Greece -- it got big bucks too. I own the 9cm model. God knows who was behind the opto-mechanical brilliance of all these little companies that made these lenses and whatever became of them. Collecting offbeat LTM lenses is a strange and expensive hobby, but one that draws me in (you guys understand I'm sure!)
