I need an adapter that has a rotating collar. I have a 135mm Hektor and my current adapters (Fotodiox) orient the lens tripod mount at 5 o'clock. Please advise.
The only one to which rotating collar can be attached that I know of is the novoflex. I don't think they make an LTM-Nex adapter but you can of course use an LTM-M adapter.
Yes they are very expensive (v. well made) but sometimes are offered used (I bought my M-Nex adapter this way)
Sorry to rejuvenate an old thread, but: I just bought a Novoflex adapter like this, and it also orients LTM lenses improperly. After scouring my town for a small enough hex key, I loosened the set screws, but the stainless/chrome (LTM) part of the adapter cannot be removed from or rotated in the black metal (E-mount) part. It will not budge. How did you move/remove yours? Did you have to turn it, or pull it out, or ??? To ensure that it should be free to turn, I even removed (not merely loosened) the set screws, and still no luck.
Thanks for any tips... --Dave
They may have a very tight fit, or possibly glue or something holding it, if you have some m39 extension rings, screw them in and hold them, then tap on the outer part with a wood mallet to separate them.

Thanks for that -- I had sort of that idea, but I have only lenses, not extension tubes or other bits, in LTM. I already had screwed a lens in, as a thing to get a better hold on, and very gingerly pulled to try to get the threaded part of the adapter out, but stopped there, not wanting to hurt the lens, so I didn't even think of trying a mallet. It's a good idea though, if I can find some cheap extension tubes somewhere.
Meanwhile has anyone had to use heat or solvents?
