Lucky SHD400. Which developer?

I'd like to buy some Lucky rolls but I got no idea about its quality. So, lurking on RFF, I read you bought it and now I'd like to ask you if you develop your rolls, what's your idea about that film, and if you have some sample to show.

I bought a pack of D-76 for 1 litre for the sum of 5.45 euro at Camera Peeters in Amsterdam.

Took me dang near 3 hours from to there and back because of very bad traffic and very poor public transportation that day but at least I got it. 🙂

I have just dev'd the first roll of SDH400 (6m30s at @24C, stock solution) and it looks good. It's drying in the bathroom now.

I'm now trying another roll (12m30s @20C, 1:1 solution).

I should have had some distilled water for the final rinse. I see drying marks on the films....

Did you squeegee the film? Some may not like to do it, but wiping the film with very soft chamois can eliminate much of the drying marks. My current film-wiping materials are synthetic chamois (the stuff used for washing automobiles) and a high-absorption synthetic foam rubber sponge (used for household cleaning). Previously, I also used "real" photosponge, cellulose sponge (kitchen washing sponge) and a new rubber blade from an automobile windshield wiper. The worst I've used is a pincer-type squeegee with rubber blades.

How did the rolls developed in 1+1 D76 for 12'30" go? The timing seems too long.
Diluting D76 with an equal amount of water does not require increasing the times twofold. Usually an additional 2 or 3 minutes are all that's needed.

Get some alcohol to rinse the film in after the last cleaning bath. No cleaning marks and it dries in no time. (Tetenal sells this as "Drysonal")

The last few rolls of HP5 I've done have had the last wash in Brita filtered water, a drop of Fairy and squeegeed then hung in my dining room.

Then before they go in the scanner, a wipe with a glasses cleaning cloth and I have scans with no scratches or marks.

Probably not good to do with less robust film though.

This thread fizzled away, maybe I can ressurect it. How were the results of developing Lucky with SHD400 with D76 1+1? I've been developing it with D76 stock, three rolls so far, exposed one at EI 400 , developed at 24C for 6:30 minutes. Did another exposed at EI 320 and developed at 20C for 8 minutes, and yet another exposed at EI 200 and developed at 20C for 8 minutes.

The first roll yielded negs with too much contrast, second roll was best, but not quite there yet. I am exposing another roll at EI 200 and will try developing at 20C/7:00. After that I want to try developing it diluted 1+1 and 1+3, but have not found any information about times in the net. Will also try a roll pushed to 1600. I am scanning the negatives with an Epson 4490, not printing them, so my needs are probably a little different.
