M 8.2 Safari marketing question

Will ths M Safari sell out the 500 run, and who will buy them ?

Mostly collectors, I would say. The better question is... is a limited edition digital Leica a good investment?

We've already been down this road.
Believe it or not, some PHOTOGRAPHERS may actually think the M8 Safari looks good, maybe even better than the regular M8.
IF one of these photographers happened to be considering to buy an M8, Elmarit 28 lens and a Billingham bag TO SHOOT WITH anyway, maybe they would be happy to buy the Safari as a shooting camera.
If I had the money and was interested in these items I would buy it. (I just bought the regular version of the lens.)

Its roughly the same price for the whole kit as if I bought them separate. If I was in the market for a M8.2 and a 28 elmarit and the color rocked my boat, why shouldnt I buy it?

Yeah. I guess the better question will be: how many threads will be made about how many people will buy this camera.

I'm sure there are at least 500 wealthy collectors out there...

I still see the M7 titanium on sale for less than the original asking price. I therefore doubt the collectors are going to rush this camera too their poser shelf. I’d would invest in the M7 ty, any day, if I had the means. Bill
