Hello Photographers,

in lack of a decent 40mm lens for LTM I would like to adapt a 40mm Cron to Screw mount.
Is is possible?
I imagine removing the bayonet and replace it with a fitting ltm screw.

Regards

Some Summaron lenses were kind of convertible but you have the choices of decent Rollei 40/2.8 and Pentax 43 mm in LTM.

The M bodies are 1mm thinner than the LTM bodies. They were designed this way so an LTM lens could be used on an M body with the appropriate adapter (Which is 1mm thick). Even if possible to convert the 40mm cron, it would require significant machining of the lens barrel to move it closer to the film plane and to remove the base of the lens and replace it with an M39 mount. My guess is that if possible the cost would be high and it might be better to simply accept a slightly longer lens such as a 50mm f1.8 Canon in black mount.
