Thank you, Robert.
It is Canadian Thanksgiving here. M-E is now one year with me and keeps growing on me.
I'm thankful to Mama.

Today I get another chance to visit Toronto. After two hours my job was done and I quickly walked to Downtown Camera store, it took few minutes to submit M-E for the trip across the border due to the sensor...
They still have 25+10 RC Ilford 8x10 paper under reasonable price. I took it and one bag of Kodak fixer in powder...
And they have plenty of digital Leica cameras and lenses. It was interesting to see the gear I can't afford. But they also have some Viogtlander and Ziess at more affordable price.

At least they let you touch and hold it, right? I once worked in a camera shop as a young person, I got to hold almost everything in the store

For me it was enough just to look at it
. Cron 35 f2 APSH has the right size for me and M-E and Biogon 28 2.8 isn't big as well
.
I just checked, this one was last photo taken with M-E before it went for the trip:

Never saw the OP until today. I don’t know why, but the original post touched me.

Downtown Camera is probably my favourite Toronto store, now that 8 Elm Camera is gone.
They have a good used section, if a bit unorganized (actually, a lot unorganized). Good selection of film, as well.

I used to rip on downtown camera for their pricing.
But they have really turned themselves around. Its actually cheaper to buy from downtown camera than it is to buy from BH, which says a lot.
I recommend them to just about everyone actually.

I don't know, BLKRCAT; they list the X-Pro2 at $1791 USD. And is Toronto sales tax really 13%?!

Thank you all for comments!
Mama was cranky today on the phone and my wife is not feeling well today as well. We have better days...
I purchased from Downtown Camera few things and they have some nice things available locally.
My recent camera buying experience was with Bessa R2M. They have it in stock, but it costs more even before taxes comparing to BH and Cameraquest.
1,149.00 CAD which is 934 USD under current rate. And it is before taxes (13%).
I don't know if it is not Cosina local pricing policy. We are not allowed to order Bessa cameras and Voigtlander lenses from USA.
Same as FujiFilm local pricing policy:
2,200 CAD before taxes, which is 1790 USD.

And it is back on Mother's Day Weekend!
Rushed after weekend online course to Downtown Camera.
Have camera set, took subway to local Gallery which shows all kinds of analog prints (barely made it) and walked long and down to the Lake on Spadina.
I set M-E to JPEG1:
Leica only replaced sensor. No perks. They know, I'm naughty.

Kostya,
Thanks for sharing. I too am just catching up with this thread.
And I really enjoy your posts about shooting Canadian Leicas in Canada, including the Hamilton series a while ago. As an Ottawa boy, in exile for 25 years now, it helps brings back memories.
Best regards,
Kirk

Thank Allen, Don and BoM!
Recently our first daughter decided to quit from photography and now I have our daughter's camera as well.
I use Leica outside and her camera kit inside.
