I want to use my 35 & 75 Summicrons on a Leica SLR. I know Leica makes one, but what is the adaptor number, and are there any limitations other than the stop down metering?
M to R adaptor?

Yes. It won't focus to infinity. How could it when the flange-to-film distance of the R is greater than the M, i.e, the lens is already focused close?

Could be good for close-up work. Don't know, though, if such an adapter is made.

You'd only be able to take extreme close-ups. REALLY extreme with the 35mm lens.

R glass on M, yes that adapter does exist. Was meant for the Leicina special. but the other way around?
Maybe you refer to the viso adapter to use viso lenses on Leica R. That is a very viable option.

Leica made one (M lens to R camera) . As far as I know it is only for Visoflex lenses and the old 4/135 with detachable part. The number is printed in Osterlohs Leica-R Compendium, which I don´t have here . I can look for the number next weekend.
PS @ Berliner: geh mal bei LbM in der Fasanenstrasse vorbei. Die könnten dir eventuell weiter helfen. Allerdings nicht mit den Summicrons.
