M is somewhere in the $8000 something US range from what I can tell. Better than I expected honestly.

I can't even work up the will to complain about Leica prices, to be honest. It's the price of a good used car and I'm sure it's a fantastic camera, there will be a long waiting list for the foreseeable future and given the first part of this sentence it's entirely irrelevant to my world/life.

In looking at the tech sheet for the M(10) I was surprised to see that they made the camera thicker. 42mm(M) vs 37mm (M9). Not that I could afford one I am disappointed in this. I was really hoping to see it get thinner to be more like a film M.

Those, I believe, are GBP prices based on the other thread showing the M-E as being $5350 GBP.
No real info yet - just my opinion mind you.

Both cameras got a .68x finder, I wonder if this is the only option? If I were to get a digital M, I'd for one would like the .85x finder at least..

DPreview is claiming these prices too. Honestly, I would think a few people would be happy with that. If I had a stash of R lenses, that M would certainly make sense.

How do you focus in video mode? Who wants to use video mode with a Rangefinder? If someone can spend $8K on a camera plus the lenses... I am assuming they should be able to afford a video camera.

Why not just admit that CMOS was used because its great for video and battery life...
Anyway, soon there will be sample images and I can assure you its not going to be a killer compared to Sony sensors. For the simple reason that if it was, Nikon and everyone else would be buying their sensor from CMOSIS rather than their archenemy, Sony.
