M262 shutter not firing

Hey all, has anybody had this problem with the M262 or the 240, where the shutter doesn't fire when pressing the shutter button and instead, three hyphens appear at the bottom of the viewfinder? Thanks a lot

Did you ever figure this out or get the issue resolved?

Was the lens cap on?

Is the card full? Is there a lens attached? Is the baseplate properly attached? Is the battery low on charge? Is there in fact a memory card in the camera?

If all of these things are okay, maybe try and do a 'reset' of the camera. Failing that, call Leica!
