Noticed this while surfing around. Interesting to see the Contax II-style shutter release.

That exterior must have really been cleaned up or polished or painted or something.... The insides look like a 100 year old camera that could use a cleaning and the outside is in fine shape.

What's with the rewind? The screw that holds it in position is really chewed up. My 47 year old M2 looks better than this - and I'll bet it has seen more action.

It would be fun to buy it, find a nice collapsible Summicron and burn some film after a nice visit to DAG 😱 Not that my wallet could do that, mind. But it somehow looks like one of those cameras that ought to be out in the world doing what it was meant to do.

Alas, all it will ever be is a dust catcher...

This one has been offered on *bay a couple of months or more ago as well by the same seller. If memory serves me right, the bids at that time reached something like US$ 75.000, but that was below the reserve price.
It is offered on the sellers website for something like US$ 135.000...

There is an even better reason to wish for riches enough to buy it and then put lots of film through it. Hell, to even let the 6 year old play with it 😱
