Hi,
I just got my m6 back from Don and he replaced my pressure plate because it was scratching negatives and cleaned my viewfinder. Was going to get a full CLA since it was already in his hands but he said it didn't need it. So happy about his honesty.
I can't remember if my shutter curtain was always this way, and if it was, it's clearly fine but today I got into sort of a scuffle on the street and my leica was hanging from my wrist. I noticed that the camera was pointing upward, not directly at the sun I don't think, but close? Or maybe it was, I'm not sure. Am wondering if the line in my curtain could have been caused by the sun briefly hitting the curtain, if that is indeed what happened?Otherwise, it looks fine. I really can't remember if it was there before, I never really paid attention when loading film.

The sun would burn a round hole in the curtain. What you're seeing is a scuff on the curtain from physical abrasion.

I have other Ms but I lost interest in diggin them out cuz I'm pretty much sure it would be the same. They work just fine. And I didn't even get into a kerfuffle.
