Hi,

6 weeks ago I purchase a used M6 classic, from a dealer with 12 month warranty.Recently using shutter speeds from below 15th the shutter stayed open till I rotated the speed dial.I was going back to the dealer but somewhere had read that exercising the shutter may do the trick. So I started at 30th and cocked/fired the shutter about a dozen times going down a speed each time and now its working ok and the slow speeds sound ok too..I rarely use lower than 30th.I have still got 10.5 months warranty. Will it be okay to leave it and see what happens or should I get it looked at now.

Regards
Steve

Sooner or later it will get worse... You should go there and ask for a CLA. If that happens, there must be some dirt and/or old grease that is stucking the slow speed mechanism. It should also get worse on low temperatures...

Just my opinion...

Sergio

Thanks all for the advice.I will drop in the store next time I visit Manchester and talk to the guy there.May even get my M2 CLA"d at the same time!

Regards
Steve
