I own an M3, M4-P and M6ttl, with a .58 finder. All good in their own way but the viewfinder in the M3 is the best.
All of my lenses focus the best and easiest on the M3.

My M6 gets the most use because of the built in light meter but the .58 finder although great for wides is the the most difficult to focus.

Neither.

The M4 has the same superb quality as the M3, but with more convenient film winding and rewinding, proper PC flash contacts, and frame lines for all the lenses I can afford.
I occasionally buy and sell Leica M cameras, but my M4's the one I keep.

Cheers,
Dez

This is my reason of purchasing the M4p... Like the M3 but more convenient film winding and rewinding. Plus, being fully mechanical without relying on batteries.

All film leicas are more or less the same camera. Buy a m2, m3, m4, m5, m6, mp or m7 and go out and take som pictures!;) If you what metering there are some cheap light meters or even great apps for your phone!
