M8.2 Vertical Lines

Hi. I just received my used M8.2 from an online dealer and noticed that there are vertical lines in the bottom left of each of my photographs. The vertical lines are visible in DNGs and JPGs throughout all ISOs.

I knew this was a problem with the earlier M8s but thought that this issue had been worked out since the M8.2,,,or am I mistaken?

I have the latest firmware.

I've included pics from 160 and up.

Is this something I send should in to Solms, or send back to the dealer for a refund?

Had the same prob, got mine off ebay though, had to send it to leica nj. Took them about a month to fix and it cost $200.00.

If you could return it and get another one I would do that.

Yeah, I was going to put up with it, if the vertical lines only appeared at 640 and above, but making an appearance at 160 and 320 is not acceptable at all.

I'm gonna contact the dealer ASAP.

I thought vertical lines weren't an issue with the m8.2.

Guess I was wrong.

UPDATE:

Talked to the dealer. Another M8.2 should come in Monday. Was assured they would check for vertical lines before sending out. Will report back here on Mon. on the results.

So my replacement camera came in today and no problems thus far. It even came with a 1year Leica limited warranty! I am extremely happy with the way things turned out. I'm not sure what the rules are about plugging dealers, so you can PM me if you want to know who I went through. I paid approx. USD 4500 for a mint m8.2.
