M8 Arrived! - During testing... possible line issue?

The warranty only applies to the work Leica does on the camera , it is not a blanket warranty covering the whole camera just the part repaired or replaced. The camera will come back completely checked out and clean .

Definatly the vertical line issue that the m8 is famous for. Leica take an age to repair it ( nearly 3 month for me) Id return it for an exchange
 
get it fixed, my m8 is on the way to being fixed (see my thread) for the same thing, do a long exposure with the lens cap on at 2500 iso and it will show up more, once you start to notice it on the high iso you will start to see it on the lower isos.

No question, I see the line in all pics, you need a new sensor. I'd email Chris at Leica NJ and see if they won't move you to the front of the line...I had the exact same problem, just bought the camera, it was under warranty, found the line, several exactly. I had it back in a month or so and it has been perfect ever since (one year). I even set up a web page complete with photos that showed the problem, so that it was absolutely clear to them. It's worth the delay to have an M8 you know is updated and clean!
 
Well, please scratch what I said about "fixing" hot pixels in the M9, posts # 12 and 20. Sorry... I just checked, they're back. :(
