Hmm . . . I bid on this and lost, now I have a Second Chance Offer.

Nothing wrong by itself with a second chance offer. I generally think the buyer had a shill bidder drive up the price to see how high it would go. You have to decide if you still want it at the price you were willing to buy it for. Then again, with zero feedback I'd sure be wary.
