M8 lens suggestions

The DOF of a 50mm on an M8 is the DOF of a 50mm lens. The in focus area (in general) in a digital camera is shallower than in a film camera.

i'm mostly using my 28 mm elmarit asph for everyday use. it's small, light and superb image quality. as a compliment, i also use a 50 mm (hade a few, prefer the summilux pre asph) for portraits.

I got the Elmarit-M 21/2.8 pre-ASPH, made in Germany with E60 filter. I really like it. Here are couple of samples:

I have the CV 21mm, i found that i couldn't quite get the best out of it on my M8 due to the FOV, so i picked up the CV 25mm which is pretty much spot on for the viewfinder, gives around 32mm, the same as a Lomo LCA, and right between 28mm and 35mm FOV.

It works well for me with the built in VF and a lovely combo for my 50/2 Planar

When carrying just one lens is the Rokkor 40 . When two then a 28mm and a 50mm.
For me the 40 is the perfect M8´s 50. Even smaller and lighter.
