Still life with Onion

Still life with Onion

The subject was actually "Still life with Onion, in the style of an old master"
Subject at the last Photography Club outing. (Of my choosing after too much Doombar in the pub)

For those that have never tried anything like this.
ie. Studio set up. Manipulated light (all natural in this shot)
etc etc.
It is a very interesting technical excercise. And one we all found quite difficult.
Worth a try.

This was shot with a Nokton 50 1.5 on an M8 1:6.7 at 1/11 Second.
Hand held in the garage. Evening Sun as my light source.
There is a dead Cock Pheasant cropped out to the right.

Elmarit 28mm

salud.

Stunning shot PineEar, I've been perusing them, stunning.
Your main lens? I'd be keen to know, as I am back in M8 land, loving it, again, mainly B&W.

Thanks! About 80% of the time I'm using the CV 28mm Ultron f/2. Great lens for the M8, especially in black & white!

Thanks so much, y'all. A couple more new ones...
I appreciate that second one, but for the content... The nails sign at the top center, partly cut by the frame edge, uses a font I made and released as freeware a couple decades ago, called Black Chancery. Nice to see it pop up in... what's the location?:)
