I am having the same far focus issue. But the shots look fine. Anyone else having far ficus issues in the viewfinder ? Other than that the lens rocks.

An interesting trick with the lens hood, except mine seems to be slightly different. The hood does have a thread and the rear lens cap screws on really easily. AND I discovered the small front lens cap screws inside the rear lens cap, and both can screw onto the hood at the same time, so no loose caps! I had never even bothered to look at this before so good call segedi.

impressive 3D look from this small lens. can anyone tell how much it vignettes? Some one told that it vignets like holga wide open but I dont see this in the example images.

here are some vignette comparisons

First, a sample of another 35mm lens.. the preasph Lux. The sample shots were wide open.. I have it 6bit coded, so one will be of the image shot with the Auto setting, the other with it Off (equivalent of what you'd get with a film capture)

(in summary.. nowhere near what a Holga gives you...)

M9 w 35mm preapsh lux, no lens profile

Ok, a couple of questions for perar users.

1) is your distance scale accurate? Not meaning does it focus correctly, but once you are focused does the distance scale on the lens state the right meters?

2) Are the corners of your lens, on full frame M9, very soft wide open to about 5.6?

I have this little lens and love, love, love it. It takes some getting used to—but once you do, you can produce some really remarkable shots. It does change the nature of your M9. It makes it a camera that you can easily carry with you everywhere. No thinking about it, it just comes with you. I highly recommend this lens.

great little lens. I hope to pick one up next batch. hopefully Mr. Miyazaki plans to make another M lens in the future. He does great work.
