Made my Decision

Well after much lamenting over which Leica M body to get I settled on another Bessa, I placed my order with Mr. Gandy today for a R3A and a few accessories but the best part is with the extra money I saved on the body instead of buying the M6 I was able to purchase a Leica 90/2.8 Tele-Elmarit from a RFF member. So my lens lineup is pretty solid now.

CV 50/1.5
Leica 50/1.5
CV 35/1.7
CV 21/4

I do still want the CV 28/1.9 but will have to wait til my tax refund is in. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

I'm thinking of getting rid of my 28mm Ultron which I've only used two or three times ... it's one of my least used lenses and I would prefer a 25mm CV. I want something that will give me the closest thing to 35mm on my M8 and stepping from 35mm to 25mm with film makes sense to me and wouldn't be a problem.

If you like I could hang on to it until you're ready to get one. I was thinking of putting it in the classifieds for around $350.00. One thing about it ... the day I bought it the little finger screw that locks the hood on stripped the first time I tightened it with my fingers ... I was stunned! 😱 I put a slightly oversized screw in and it's fine now but that did surprise me! The metal in the hood is as tough as hardened cheese obviously!!!!

I you arent in a hurry to get rid of it, I probably wont have the cash until early to mid February.

When are you heading back to Iraq ... it would make sense to get it to you sooner than later if it was only going to the US.

Im back already, and it sucks, nothing like a country like Iraq to make you miss your home country. There are alot of aussies here with me that feel the same way Im sure.

I think you make a good choice, I would like to see more pictures from Iraq with your 90mm and the R3A.
