Mail-in labs for scanning only

Hello again,

I was wondering if any of you use mail-in places for scanning negatives that have already been developed. I have some old negatives developed and scanned by CVS, and was hoping to get a better quality/higher resolution scan of one of the negatives. I tried one lab recently but was not very happy with the scan and print as both were very soft, even though I've always been happy when they do both the developing and scanning.

EDIT: I've gotten some suggestions below but, for clarification, I was asking about labs in the US.

Not to be a pain but it would be nice if we knew the continent you're asking for. I do all of my own scanning, so don't have a suggestion, but thought that might make a difference. http://www.scancafe.com/ seems to be popular. Mail order to India.

Indie Film lab, Precision, NCPS, Pro Photo Irvine. They will all scan existing negs. Had good quality from all of them.

GoPhoto did pretty good job on some of my stuff.

I prefer to do my own scanning since most labs never do it the way I want it done.

Scanners today are easy to use and not too expensive. Epso makes a fine line of scanners and the current V750 is my favorite..

Thank you, Aristophanes and colyn. colyn, that is a possibility that crosses my mind from time to time but, for the amount of scanning that I would want to do myself, I don't feel that it is worth the cost (even for reasonably priced Epsons) and hassle. Might do it down the road but not at this point.
