Good evening friends,
Just arrived about 12 hours ago in Frankfurt from Austin, Texas.
We're in Wurzburg tonight, will be renting a car in a couple of days for a spin down the Romantic Road to Munich then off to Salzburg, Vienna, Telc, Prague, Bamburg and back to Wurzburg then train back to Frankfurt.
Haven't been to the Czech Republic since 1992---guessing there have been some changes ;-).
Do any of you locals have some suggestions for places/sights/activities in Germany, Austria or Czech Rep. that are not covered in the guidebooks?
I left the 50 pound Nikon kit behind and took instead my 6 pound travel kit consisting of :
Sony Nex 7 w/ 10-18mm
Fuji X 100s
Fuji X-E2 w/ 35mm 1.4 and 18-55 zoomer.
As much as I have loved my Nikons since 1972---and I have---I really, really enjoy travel and the results from this APS-C mirrorless outfit.
Hadn't been in Germany for more than two hours before a hurrying commuter bumped into, dislodged and broke the lens hood for the 18-55. Two pieces of tape later it seems it will hold out for the three week trip. If that's all that goes amiss I will be a happy lad. Fuji fingers X'ed (heh, heh).
