Wow. This is nice. Could this be my dream camera conversion?.
it could be. I really liked the Mamiya 6 when I owned one, so this is very cool. Makes a person wonder "what took them so long", but its finally out there.

Before getting too excited I'd like to see what the complete system actually looks like when assembled. as I have a sneaking feeling that external cables, are required between the camera and back much like with digital backs for certain MF SLRs like the Bronica SQ.

The last photo in the listing shows the cables, I can't work out how to link to the image, ebay won't let me... What's the coverage on a back like that? I assume it's less than 56x56mm?

That's a lot of money for a camera with a hole in the back door!

Might get some wicked face grease on the back sticking out that far.
That's what plastic surgery is for, just have a square notched out of your cheek and voila!

It sold on ebay earlier this year or something almost identical to it did. definitely a bit cobbled up, interesting concept but without a fullframe back, a bit pointless too. Hard to understand how the rangefinder could be recalibrated to work, with film plane moved back, and how lens could still reach infinity. Definitely a hack-job, and way overpriced at that.
