mamiya 7 quick release work on 6?

Hi Folks
I'm referring to the 'AQ702' - its a quick release tripod adapter described as 'for the MamiYA 7/ 7 ii'. Looking at pictures of it i'd guess the plate size would be close enough to use equally well on the Mamiya 6 and I'd say the scew size would certainly be ok. If anyone is able to confirm it actually is ok it would be great to hear from you.

If you still need to know, I can get access to a 6 and a 7 that both have RRS or Kirk type plates. If the 7 plate fits the 6 it might work. Let us know.

thanks for your this John. I only picked up your reply today and in the intervening period went ahead and ordered a 'like-new' one from KEH. It was a very reasonable price so I think its worth the chance.

FYI: I just got the AQ702 the other day. It fits a 6 perfectly. At 55 yo-yos some sweet compensation for the less useful items in my photographic purchasing history!
