Same here! 8 years of use. Most reliable by far.
A few years ago got the 50mm to go with my 80mm.
The curtain mechanism is sturdy enough, I've never felt it giving in.
Only thing, I sometimes forget to release the pin when I'm done switching lenses. Need to work that muscle memory.
And in my experience perfectly reliable in freezing temperatures. No brittle metal getting stuck, no battery drainage or anything.
I think I've only changed the battery twice in these 8 years.

Got the RF645 repaired by Tamron a couple years ago for its sticky wind lever issue. Has been functioning pretty well since. Haven't used the Mamiya, so can't compare, but the RF645 is ergonomically as good or better than some SLRs. And great results, this is with the 65 Zenzanon.
