Mamiya 7II dioptric correction

How is the cam for focusing with glasses?

Mamiya make rectangular press fit diopters in 1 diopter increments. See this web page for the range:

They are available on ebay from time to time. If you are short-sighted (and need a negative value diopter), you might be better off going for a slightly lower value. For example, my right eye optical prescription is -1.5 spherical, and that leaves me with the choice of -1 or -2 for the diopter. The -1 is much better (for what it's worth!)

With the -1 diopter, focusing is very good in my case.

What is a "press Fit ? Do you mean that one just "presses" it in the hole for view finder? How hard are they to get out. I have been considering a new Mamiya 7 II but am reluctant because I have read that they are difficult to use if you ae wearing glasses.
Question for those of you who wear glasses and are Using a 7 II "How are you getting along with the camera. I am a new member just looking for some advice.

The surround of the viewfinder is rectangular and is of a slightly soft material. The diopter has a tiny tab on the top side. It is placed in first so that the tab fits in a small groove in the viewfinder. Then the bottom of the diopter is pushed in. They stay put. They can be removed by simply placing something thin, like the point of a nail file, under the base and levering it out. It comes out easily.

I have the 80mm lens and wear glasses most of the time, its a perfect fit.
