Mamiya 7ii Photos

This really is such a special camera system. I love mine. I only have the 65mm lens, had the 43mm for a short while, but decided to focus on one lens for a bit.

Think of adding the 150mm now to pair with the 65. I always read that it's difficult to use, but I am certain there are people out there using it effectively. Anyone have some samples?

You must be the ONLY person in the world who has had and then given up the greatest lens in the Mamiya system. The 43mm lens is one of THE highest rated lenses of ANY system.

Wow..................

As others said it's not really that hard to focus with, I'm not really sure who thinks it is, I've seen those threads, but personally it's just fine, I shot an entire modeling shoot using just the 150mm lens, and worked out just wonderfully.

That said I'm also shocked you gave up the 43mm.

My 3 are the 43mm, 65mm, and 150mm

Works great for almost all situations. Never needed the 80mm, and the 250mm (Or whatever the 200-300mm range lens is) is a bit much.

Haha I know, everyone has told me numerous times how crazy I am, but Michael is taking good care of it, and now I have his 150mm!

It was indeed an epic lens and I'll probably rebuy it in the future, but for the time being It was just complicating my experience with the camera as I was getting used to the system.

all nice pictures ....

may I ask a question as have bought 2nd hand N 43mm lens for landscape photography ... user manual advise to use center ND filter due to lesser light at corners ... is it for shooting slide only as my black and white photos seems not having this problem

thx

I really appreciate the spectacular clarity of Mamiya 7 lenses.

In portrait format, there's nothing better, and I use my Mamiya 7II whenever I can.

Call me crazy, but every time I see a 6X7 in panoramic format, I automatically feel the picture is chopped off.

For panoramics, 6X9 or 6X17 just looks more natural to me.

The other failing of Mamiya 7, IMO, is the inability to close focus, but I love the Mamiya 7 II!
